Homeowner saved $100s by buying scratched appliance
A very smart buyer in Phoenix called me to understand how we restore and repair stainless scratches. She was looking at a new Electrolux stove, retailing around $2800. The only issue is that someone had purchased it then returned the range. When returning the stove to a Phoenix appliance store they failed to secure the grates. The grates slid back and forth during the trip and completely destroyed the cooktop. There was not much spared as the grates were very heavy grade. This buyer saw an opportunity to get a top of the line range at a bottom line price.
I explained the process and after reviewing some pictures assured her I could probably restore it to about 90%-95%. She decided to make the investment as the appliance store was giving it away for a steal. See the pictures below for the results.
